Green, green Maryland
It took two full days by train to get here but we made it. We were welcomed at Union Station by Rachel Myrowitz from the organization One Less Car. To make it up to Baltimore in time for the show that night she was kind enough to swing by with a mini-van. Kind of funny really… One Less Car picking up the Ditch the Van musicians in a Toyota Sienna. But it did the trick.
Our show last night was in one of my new favorite venues, a cooperative called 2640 Space. It’s an old church populated with art, theater and community gatherings. It had a fire a few years back, but they’re slowly but surely replacing what needs replacing.
Today we ride up to Havre De Grace to perform at Biller’s Bike for what I understand is two nights of sold out shows. Pretty exciting!
I’m really looking forward to riding through this part of the country. On past traditional tours I’ve spent all my time stuck on 95. Now we get to roll through the green hills on our bicycles.
